API Verify Reliance

Update specific customer information without triggering a full verification

What’s changed?

You can now update specific information (claims data) without having to trigger a full rerun of the verification process. This applies to customers onboarded through either Verify or Reliance. This new feature will make onboarding faster and more efficient for you and your customers.

When can I use this?

  • Updating information for customers already onboarded. For example, you may want to add or remove directors for a limited company and re-verify this updated set of directors.

  • Updating information in errored applications without rerunning the entire verification. For example, you may want to update invalid data and rerun verification on these specific updates.

  • Updating information in declined applications and only rerunning the updates.

How does it work?

  • Send the updated data to the correct claim endpoints for the associated legal person

  • Start a new verification via the verifications endpoint

  • Check the progress of these updated claims using webhooks or by polling the verification

Find out more in our documentation guides for different legal persons. Here's an example for individuals.

How will this affect existing integrations?

This feature does not force any changes on existing integrations. However, you might want to change how you process and send us updated customer information to make the most of this capability.
