We're making updates to the onboarding workflow for LTD, Sole Trader, and Individual accounts, taking effect on 1 October 2026.

Action required by 1 October 2026

AEOI entity classification enforcement (LTD accounts only)

The aeoi-entity-classification claim will now be enforced. If a classification is not provided, the workflow will reject the submission.

This has been a required field and is already documented in our guides. Please ensure your integration is supplying this claim before 1 October 2026.

Changes at your discretion

Director and PSC changes (LTD accounts only)

  • Directors no longer require a TIN

  • For persons with significant control (PSCs), tax residency remains a required field. A TIN is only required where the aeoi-entity-classification is Passive NFE and the PSC holds tax residency in a reportable jurisdiction. In all other cases, a TIN is no longer required for PSCs

Country-TIN mapping changes (all account types)

The following countries have been updated. These are all relaxations. If you don't update your mapping, you will be applying stricter TIN collection than necessary from 1 October 2026:
